World Photography Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at J.J. College of Arts and
Science, Pudukkottai.
The event commenced with a welcome address delivered by Mr. S. Bharathiraja, Head of the
Department. The function was officially inaugurated by the college Secretary, Management
Trustee Dr. Kavitha Subramanian, who highlighted the growing importance of visual media and
creative expression in today's digital era.
Delivering the special address, Principal Dr. J. Parasuraman emphasized the role of photography
as a powerful medium for storytelling, historical documentation, and art.
As part of the celebrations, various inter-departmental competitions were conducted to encourage
student talent, testing their creative and technical skills behind the lens. A featured photo
exposition was also arranged, attracting a large number of students who toured the gallery to
explore diverse photographic styles, techniques, and themes. Prizes were later distributed to the
winners of the competitive events.
